Manifest theme cpanel upload fail
I’m trying to upload the Manifest theme to my site – http://thomasboadle.com/
I have registered the domain name at Bluehost, installed wordpress, downloaded the Manifest zip file and uploaded it into my cpanel so the files all begin with – /public_html/wp-content/themes/manifest_v1.1
But when I go onto my admin/appearance/themes only the standard 129 themes appear.
What am I doing wrong? Any help would be much appreciated, thanks
ps: I’ve been through all the videos available already. I had posted this question on the wordpress.org forum (http://wordpress.org/support/topic/manifest-theme-cpanel-upload-fail?replies=1#post-2188657) but was redirected here
The blog I need help with is thomasboadle.com.
I’m sorry but that site is not a free blog from and being free hosted by wordpress.COM so we cannot help you with it. WordPress.COM blogs and wordpress.org installs operate on different code. The correct support forum to get support for that blog is here > http://wordpress.ORG/support
For more clarity please read http://support.wordpress.com/com-vs-org/
ok, being sent back and forth, thank you though
Have you purchased domain mapping or a site redirect from WordPress.com?
yes, I have done this
thomasboadle.com/ is domain mapped to a WordPress.COM site and that is why you can’t add the outside Theme and why the .ORG folks sent you back over here.
Your Blue Host install is completely separate blog – you need to change the name servers to point to Blue Host and the WordPress.ORG install you have over there – then you can install the theme you want – you will then need to Export your old blog here and import the content to your new blog if you want the content to be on your Blue Host site.
