Manual Upgrades

    I’m a Bluehost user and usually I can go into Bluehost and have it upgrade my WordPress installation for me. Of late I’m seeing the line “you must upgrade this manually.” I’m not a very advanced user, and I have visions of losing every change I’ve made to my theme, sidebar, and whatnot… Going completely back to scratch.

    So I’m asking for two things: Assurance that it isn’t that bad… It isn’t, right?

    And a step-by-step “Upgrading WordPress for Dummies” link if there is such a thing out there.

    You need to go consult with your host. The blog you have is not a wordpress.com blog. The correct support forum is over here http://wordpress.org/support
    This is the wordpress.com support forum and we run on different software.
