    I am working with website & domain that are hosted on a private server & connected to our email services. Our hosting company is Elite.

    Our computer guy redirected DNS server address as instructed, but this completely messed up our email too (the web log in for the email was directed to to the new word press website & we were not receiving mail) so we put the DNS back to its normal positioning.

    Our computer guy asked if there was a way to point just the domain & not the name server, to avoid our email & smtp servers pointing to wordpress too. When I chatted with a WP rep, they said ‘To make your email work, you can reach out to elite and tell them you have moved your domain to a new host. Ask, ‘What are the specific DNS records I will need in order to keep our email working?”

    Then, I will add those records on your domain management page for the domain.

    However, our computer guy said ‘I do not think this will work. When the Names Servers are changed, that means that email and smtp are pointed at WordPress. Even if you point the email address back at Elite, that will only cover email sent from WordPress and not other email using Outlook etc.’

    I am a bit stuck, and not sure how to solve this issue in a simple way. Any information will be greatly appreciated!
