Ok thanks James, I think I was trying to add a second line of menus ! yes I got it, if I put it all in COLUMN in the setup, and it will appear as a LINE in the page… that’s why I was confused

you should replace “menu” by “menu line” maybe…

    cheers

“It actually appears to be intentional, but I’ll pass it along.” (about the absence of comments in page

Yes I agree, but then why leave the comment windows in the page creation page ?

Agreed, that will probably be removed.

I was searching how to enable the comments in my pages, earlier I was suprised there were no tags or categories in the pages.

At no point anyone was able to point out that there were “articles” that HAVE tags and comments ! what a shame !

I did not discovered this before because your (wordpress’s) translation in french is so crappy, it says “articles” for post as well as for real “articles”

    yes, I’m doing your job!

also, everyday I publish PAGES, the next day I can see in the stats that I have published “articles”, what a shame (this one cannot come from the translation to french)

that’s another reason for which the confusion lasted so long for me

this famous system “wordpress” is just a mountain of S… if you (WP) can’t fix this kind of simple issues, how can you address real problems ?

WordPress.com is mostly translated by volunteers, and anyone can suggest new translations. Please read more about how translation process works here: http://en.support.wordpress.com/translation-faq/

You can suggest new translations for French here: http://translate.wordpress.com/projects/wpcom/fr/default

If you want to suggest translations specifically for the Annotum theme, you can click on “Search”, enter “Annotum”, then click the “Filter” button. This will bring up all the strings that are being used by the Annotum theme.

ah OK, volonteers, that’s why it’s so bad

it’s depressing to move from crappy Knol to crappy WordPress

I wonder how humanity could progress ? probably not by collective work

so what about the (real) articles, you were not aware of them ? or you did not know they had tags and comments ? are you a volonteer too ?

No, I’m staff here and admittedly made a mistake. Annotum is drastically different from any other WordPress theme and even makes changes to how core WordPress operates.

If you truly aren’t happy here, you can export the contents of your blog via Tools -> Export in your blog’s Dashboard.

Either way, this thread is getting a bit too long for anyone else to help you if I’m away (too many separate issues), so please open a new support request if you require further assistance.

“No, I’m staff here and admittedly made a mistake. “If you truly aren’t happy here, you can export the contents of your blog via Tools -> Export in your blog’s Dashboard.” Yes, I am not happy with the site, but I’m happy the way you answer, you’re very patient.

Ok, I will open a new thread to ask if I can remove the “research” window from the header, it falls in the middle of my new menus!

    See ya

Just a quick notice, you might find some of the answers you’re looking for at https://annotum.uservoice.com/knowledgebase

I can’t recall if this was shared earlier. If so, it might be lost a few pages back.
