Missed schedule

  1. Hello,

I am the admin for my blog and I can't get to schedule my posts. I have scheduled two posts so far, and none of them got published. I had to publish the first one manually, and the second one keeps saying "missed schedule" (I don't want to publish it manually).

Since my blog is not self-hosted, but is on the servers of, I find this issue rather strange. Could you please help me ?

    Thank you and best regards,

    Stefano Liensel

  2. Hi, sorry to be a pain, but my issue isn't solved yet. I have looked online, and all I can find is related to self-hosted blogs, which isn't the case of mine (

I would really appreciate some help.

    Thanks a lot.

  3. Scheduled posts don't actually appear until someone visits the blog after the scheduled time of publication. See here please >

  4. Hi, thank you for your reply.

I tried to log out and connect to my blog, but the post still doesn't appear. And I still have "missed schedule" in my dashboard.

Here is a link to the post that is scheduled:

    Thanks again for your help.

  5. Also, it happened with the latest post that is currently on my blog. like I said before, I had to publish it manually, but I had the exact same issue, some I'm not even sure it is related to this post in particular.

  6. Hello again, can anybody help me with this issue?

    Thanks a lot.

  7. Try slightly offsetting the schedule for the next post. In other words, put it a few minute off from the hour or half hour, like 8:32am or 9:02am, etc.

  8. Thanks for your reply. I just tried with a test post scheduled at 9:12pm UK time, and this one too missed schedule.

  9. I'm having the same issue as you sliensel and I too just had to manually publish my second blog post. I have used wordpress in the past and this has never been an issue before. It's also surprising the lack of response and help you're receiving. Hopefully someone will see this and provide some helpful advice. My blog is also hosted on wordpress's servers (not my own domain or self-hosted) and I also received a "missed schedule" notification this morning. Well...that's not good.

  11. @photozen10: Thanks for your support. This is very weird indeed. I would (somewhat) understand if my blog was self-hosted, but since it is on the servers, this really surprises me. I even tried to create another test blog with my account, and the same issue occurred. I hope we get the solution soon... Did it only happen to one of your posts? All my posts have had the same issue.

@timethief: I am in touch with someone from staff at [email redacted]. I tried another test post,, with the same result. Since all my posts (and even a test blog on my account) have this issue, I am inclined to think this is an account-related issue, not a post-related or even an blog-related issue.

Anyway, if I get the solution, I will post it here. In the meantime, if anybody has an idea, please feel free to share! :) Thanks for your help.

  12. This also started acting up for me recently, where all my scheduled posts are being missed. Logged in to find 10 missed and then changed the times and mixed it up and everything.

    Still not working.

  13. I don't know whether it is reassuring to see this problem happening to others as well.

I hope it gets better for you too, csutoras.

I've had this problem intermittently on one of my blogs, too--null . Though if Timethief is right, the only solution is to visit your own blog? This seems weird.

  15. Well, the thing is I did visit my blog after logging out, but the issue remained, unfortunately. Thanks for your post stephaniekbenedict.

  16. Hi all,

This is to let you know that my issue has been fixed. No action on my side, but the WordPress support seems to have fixed it themselves, and now my posts are successfully scheduled.

  17. @sliensel
That's great news. Thanks so much fro returning to share it here.

  18. I don't know if it is completely fixed as two weeks in a row now my scheduled posts haven't shown up and I've had to go in an manually publish them.

  19. @xandergc: Have you tried contacting WordPress support? They have been helpful with me on this as well as on another issue I had.
