Moving blog content from one wordpress.com site to another

    Greetings,

I use wordpress.com blogs in my classroom, and am interested in transferring last semester’s content onto a new site so I can retain the old site URL for current use. I’ve scoured the forums, and read and watched the video on “Moving Between WordPress.com Blogs” and somewhat understand the process.

What isn’t clear to me is whether or not I will still be able to access the prior blog site, and if so, what will remain on there (theme, links, nothing?). I realize that there’s a setting to NOT delete the old address – and I would obviously use that. But I’m curious what the outcome of this will be for the original site.

Basically, I want my currently-used blog subdomain http://www.cuestaart255.wordpress.com back so I can post new content, but I want a new “home” for all the old stuff too.

If you could provide me with some information about this, I would be grateful. Thanks!

The blog I need help with is cuestaart255.wordpress.com.
