Moving comment form above comments, underneath post

    I have Customized Coraline, and I want to find out whether I can move the comment form so that it isn’t at the bottom of all the comments. I often get more than 100 comments per post, and I don’t want readers to have to scroll all the way down just to enter a comment in the form. And I don’t know how to do it via CSS.

    Thank you so much for your help!

    The blog I need help with is

    I’m afraid there isn’t way to move the comment form, but you can go to Settings -> Discussion and enable “Break comments into pages”, while also reducing the number of top level comments.

    You can see more details about comment display options on this support page:

    There is a way to move the comments, but it’s not ideal because you would need to use absolute positioning and that requires that you set the amount of space the comments box gets manually. This is a problem because the comment form height is variable.

    So, what you could do is always give the comment form area a big enough height so that it always works. The problem is that it will look like there is a big gap below the comment form until you click on it to start typing (it expands dynamically).

    Here is a CSS example if you’d like to play around with it:

    #comments {
    	position: relative;
    	width: 500px;
    	padding-top: 415px;
    .logged-in #comments {
    	padding-top: 300px;
    #respond {
    	position: absolute;
    	top: 0;

    Adjust the padding numbers to your liking.
