About a year ago I stopped blogging on my old WordPress blog and started a new one. Now I’m wondering, is it possible to move the posts (and only the posts, not the pages) from the old blog to the new one, even if I have been blogging on the new one for quite a while.
Basically I’d like all my old posts to just appear in the archives on the new blog :)
The blog I need help with is jdahlberg.wordpress.com.
You can export the content out of the old blog and import them into the new blog very easily. See > http://en.support.wordpress.com/moving-a-blog/
Thanks! But it still scares me… What happens with old pages and stuff, since my new blog isn’t “blank”?
The content you move will simply be integrated into the second blog based on the timestamps on the posts.
Export > When you click the button below WordPress will create an XML file for you to save to your computer.
This format, which we call WordPress eXtended RSS or WXR, will contain your posts, pages, comments, custom fields, categories, and tags.
Once you’ve saved the download file, you can use the Import function on another WordPress blog to import this blog.
Import > Upload your WordPress eXtended RSS (WXR) file and we’ll import the posts, pages, comments, custom fields, categories, and tags into this blog.
