Hi, I moved my blog http://starlightbookreviews.com today over to self-hosted wordpress with Blue Host, but my followers and stats didn’t transfer. I have activated the jetpack plugin but I can’t see my old followers or stats. Can someone help me with that, please? :)

The blog I need help with is starlightbookreviews.com.

    Hi there,

You have a few different blogs blogs, so to confirm, you wish to move your followers and stats from starlightbookreviews.wordpress.com to starlightbookreviews.com?

    HI starlightserenade,

Your WordPress.com subscribers and email followers have been transferred as requested.

Please note that any WordPress.com followers who opted to receive email updates will need to re-subscribe again on your new site through the Jetpack signup box, otherwise they’ll only see new posts in their Reader. Non-WordPress.com email subscribers will continue to get email updates.

You might thing about setting up a Site Redirect for your WordPress.com site at starlightbookreviews.wordpress.com to send your site visitors to your new domain. Otherwise, people will still be able to subscribe on your old site.

I have also merged your stats for you.

Jackiedana, you are made of awesome! Thank you!!

One question, I purchased the domain several months ago through WordPress.com and starlightbookreviews.wordpress.com is already redirecting to the starlightbookreviews.com domain. It’s still redirecting in my web browser so there’s nothing else I need to do, right?

    Hi again,

For now that should work. If you wish for it to continue to work once it expires, you can either renew your domain through us, or transfer your domain to another registrar and purchase site redirect to redirect your WordPress.com domain.

    Hi Jackiedana,

I am a novice in WP, so please excuse me if this is basic knowledge. A couple of weeks ago I moved my blog (www.chocolateandspinach.com) from wp.com. It was a premium membership so I could get my own domain. Now I moved the blog to a self hosted blog to be able to do more. But during the export/import procedure I lost all the followers, and I cant see them at http://chocolateandspinach.wordpress.com/ where I can see everything else up to the date I moved my domain.
My question: Can I still find all the followers and move them to my new self hosted blog? By reading the forum it seems like a plugin named jetpack can help me. The only thing, where are all my old followers – It was app. 300 or so.
I appreciate your feed back. B.r. Lene

    Hi lenerode,

Please install Jetpack and connect your chocolateandspinach.com site to the same WordPress.com account that your chocolateandspinach.wordpress.com site is associated with, and let me know when that’s done.

I can then move your WordPress.com and email followers to your self-hosted blog.

    Hi Jackie,

I believe I have done what you asked me to do now. Remember I am not a great WP expert, I am a newbie ;-)
If I need to do more, please describe whats needed with as many words as possible.

    Thanks – Lene

    Hi lenerode,

It looks like you have successfully connected Jetpack, so good job on that step!

Now I have a question. It looks like you have two blogs on WordPress.com, so I’m not sure which one you want your followers transferred from:

chocolateandspinach.wordpress.com, with the most recent post on June 24, 2013

    and

    chocolateandspinachdotcom.wordpress.com.

The second one now redirects to chocolateandspinach.com, which also had the most recent post on June 24th. Because of the domain redirect, you can view the posts and other information on that site at chocolateandspinachdotcom.wordpress.com/wp-admin/

It looks like the majority of your followers are on chocolateandspinachdotcom.wordpress.com. If you can confirm that is indeed the blog you had in mind, I’ll complete the process for you!

Hi again, and thank you for being patient with me. It is http://chocolateandspinachdotcom.wordpress.com/ we need to move from.
The other one is just a dublet I created by accident during the move.

    Thank you.

    Hi Jackiedana,

Thank you for all your help. Everything works 100% now at http://www.chocolateandspinach.com

Jetpack is pretty nice once I get to know if.
