OK, I have purchased the domain name, paid for hosting and domain mapping and my blog appears to be beautiful at predatorylies.com. However, I want to make my blog simply a part of a fuller website at my domain. I want to be able to monetize. What do I need to do? Thanks
All I can see is my usual dashboard, (from wordpress.com) my exact same blog and I don’t see any addition options to enhance, advertise or monetize my blog.

The blog I need help with is predatorylies.com.

    Please see here > moving a blog > http://en.support.wordpress.com/moving-a-blog/

If you’ve registered your domain through WordPress.com and now want it to point to a blog or website hosted elsewhere then you can do this by updating the nameservers. The nameservers control where traffic for the domain goes using DNS. If you are moving from WordPress.com to a self-hosted WordPress.org blog, you can enter the nameservers provided by your web hosting company to switch your domain to their hosting service.Follow the Update Nameservers instructions. You need to make friends over at WordPress.ORG as they are the keepers of the software you are now using – support here is only for blogs hosted on WordPress.COM

There are no Dashboard options to monetize your blog – you need to sell you own ads, sign up for an ad service, place each ad on your site yourself etc. No magic “make money” button.
