I was wondering if you have two blogs (under the same username) is it possible to have one blogs posts post to the second one. For example..
Blog A is a personal blog and Blog B is a sports-themed blog. Is there a way to have any posts on Blog B also show up as posts on Blog A?
The only way this can be achieved is by using an off-line blog editor like BlogDesk or Windows Live Writer. However, please note that the spiders that crawl your site do recognize duplicate content and that duplication can negatively affect your blog ranking with both Google and Technorati.
Understood. Thanks for the reply.
You’re welcome. :)
I really can’t see the duplicate content rule being applied here. I know what you’re talking about but with so many different subdomains as well as the load balancing, the different data centers, and the multiple IP addresses, I don’t think the search engines would see it as such.
Not that I would be testing it…
If that’s the case, then what would be the easiest way to have one post show up in two blogs? The off-line editor like timethief mentioned? Is there a way to do this through WordPress (I supposed Copy-Paste would work)? Thanks!
I’d use the offline editor if you’re posting to multiple posts.
Do remember though that there is an item in teh ToS about having original content here at wp.com.
I’d send a Feedback and ask about it. Although since you’re only ripping off yourself, presumably you have the permission of the copyright owner, if that’s what they’re worried about.
