Multiple Templates?
-
I know this is possible in WordPress.org, but is there a way to create multiple TEMPLATES within a theme in WordPress.com Business?
I need to be able to have multiple sections, each with its own widgets.
-
You can change widget visibility within the blog right now, actually.
Each blog can only have one theme, but there are different theme formats available, eg Image, Standard Post, Aside, Quote.

Visibility is what I was looking for. Thank you.
I knew there was a way to do it, I just couldn’t remember what it was called.
Thanks again!

As raincoaster indicated above widgets now have “visibility” settings so we can select which pages they display on. See here: http://en.support.wordpress.com/widgets/#widget-visibility
And depending on the theme there are varying post format choices we can make:

Follow up question – Is there a limit to the number of widgets in a WordPress sidebar and at what point does the number of widgets slow the page load time down?
-
No, there isn’t and it vastly depends on what is in the widgets. Text or links won’t slow a page down much. Images will.
