multiple text columns in post category pages

Hi there, I just started using wordpress three weeks ago so I’m a newbiew and technologically challenged :), but through youtube and the various threads I was able to create my website WordPress is really awesome! But I’m at a loss on how to create multiple (at least 3) text columns in post not pages. Yes I’ve read the difference between post and pages and I have to admit it took me awhile to understand it. I was able to create a 2 column text in pages (which are static) via HTML – thanks to the great Panaghiotisadam and clarification from the awesome Timethief … I bow before you guys!
I tried using the same HTML code that I used for Pages into the Post, it actually works if you switch to Visual but once you do the update and preview the post the columns are gone. Do I need a CSS upgrade? Any suggestions? Thanks in advance.

The blog I need help with is

We cannot in any way change the display of items on Categories pages. We cannot edit theme or templates. CSS editing cannot be used to change functionality. All blogs wearing the same theme on this multiuser blogging platform are using the same underlying template. We cannot access theme or template files and edit them; only Staff can and every edit they make affects all blogs wearing the same theme.

ok, so I guess your saying that one is able to create multiple columns ONLY on static Pages but not on Posts? What about tables? can I create tables in post? I knoe it can be done on Pages.. Thanks for the response :)

You can create HTML tables in posts and on pages as well. However, Categories pages are dynamic and are supplied by the software when we publish posts with categories assigned to them. So any page or post you create with an HTML table in it to display Categories in will have to be manually updated.

Thank you so much for the quick response, I will try creating the tables and hopefully it works…Have a great day Timethief :)
