  1. Should a blog site have one topic they stick too?

The blog I need help with is

  2. Mine doesnt. I cover news, personal stuff, religion, tech, and pretty much anything.

  3. It doesnt have to, I keep mine simple but it can be anything you want it to be

  4. Thank you very much! I was hoping you would say that, because I don't want to be boxed in. Have a good day!

  5. The worst thing you can do is back yourself into a corner. Enable yourself to write about whatever you like, and you'll find you don't have any problems filling your blog. If you box yourself in, you will get writer's block.

  6. ^ This.

And I saw you on the gizmodo comments the other day, raincoaster.

  7. My blog is for my ramblings which believe me are on everything and anything :)
    Good luck with the blog!

  8. Ah, jmcartee, I'm usually Gawker-centric, but they're all assembling into one big, Nick Denton Transformer these days.

  9. You can have one overarching theme perhaps, but there is no reason why it can't be quite general. Your writing style and personality will shine through in time.

I think you should stick to a theme, but not a topic. Readers should know what to expect from your blog (humor, political commentary, recipes, etc.), but your topics can be fresh and new.
