Mutliple H1 tag in Affinity theme
-
Hi there,
Wp.com claims they take care of 80% of good SEO practices out of the box. I’m using the Affinity theme and apparently each page title is H1! Therefore if you use is as a one-page site you end up with 6 H1 tags on the homepage… I doubt this is helping SEO at all!
Page title should be H2 or H3 and only the sitename should be H1 in IMHO. Any tech guy could have a look at this?
Thanks,
vmPS: Great theme by the way. Great that it’s free!

Glad you’re liking Affinity!
Multiple H1 tags are valid HTML5 and do not cause SEO issues. You can learn more here:

Ok, fair enough. There are so many articles about SEO stating this and the opposite it’s impossible for non-tech guys like me to figure it out. Thanks for your answer.
