My blog posts are listed on the stats page but not displaying. People can only get into my two most recent blog posts.

The blog I need help with is theangertheory.wordpress.com.

I see posts prior to those two in Google’s cache. Is it possible you accidentally deleted them? Do you see anything in your post trash folder?

I’m thinking that this could be a blog caught up in the duplicate blog issue that Staff are dealing with. I’ll tag this thread for their attention. Please subscribe to it so you are notified when they respond.

OH NO! Yes I just read another thread, saw that, checked, there were two blogs! So then I deleted one and it took both. I am so gutted.

OMG! Never ever delete a blog URL here. But hang in as this case Staff will probably make an exception and restore it for you.

Oh I could cry on my school girl errors. I thought it would be ok because there was to. *shuffles iff to cry and learn lessons*. I have three posts saved on my comp luckily, theres just a few that I lost and dont have backed up.

Don’t cry because I can almost guarantee Staff will be able restore the blog in this case. But in the future know that deletion solves nothing and in the case of URLs it’s permanent and irreversible. That’s why there are so many warnings given and even a verification link in an email that has to be clicked to accomplish it.

P.S. To have backups on your own computer use an offline blog editor to post to your blog. http://en.support.wordpress.com/xml-rpc/

Thankyou so much for your patience with the Newbie lol! Yeah, I should have looked at those warnings better. As I thought I was only deleting one of an apparent 2 I thought it would be fine. The downfalls of assumption.

Every day for over 7 years now I deal with bloggers who ignore the warnings and then end up crying here or throwing fits. To be honest I have no sympathy left for those who ignore the warnings. I ran out of it yeas ago. That said, as your blogs were caught up in the duplicate blog issue I am expecting Staff will restore your blog.

Important note: I have tagged this thread for Staff assistance. Subscribe to it so you are notified when they respond and know it’s not in your best interested to keep posting to and bumping this thread. Staff deal with threads in datestamp and timestamp order – first posted – first served, as would be expected. Posting again moves the timestamp ahead and it will take longer to get help.

This does not appear to be a duplicate blog issue.

The blog at theangertheory.wordpress.com, with two posts, was deleted. You still have a blog at angertheory.wordpress.com, without the “the” in front.

@jackiedana-the site at theangertheory.wordpress.com was live and kicking with 2 visible posts when I posted my reply above and had far more published posts than what is currently on angertheory.wordpress.com

According to Google’s cache of theangertheory on the same day, there were numerous other posts on that site that disappeared.

    #1651710

Oh, hi. Yes. The day after I posted this thread, and I had deleted one of the two Theangertheory URLs, the second one at the same URL reapeared. I thought it had been restored. By that time however I made a fresh one at just anger theory (url without the) and posted the 3 I had saved. So I took the rest of the blogs from the one that had reapeared, saved them on my harddrive and deleted that URL compleatly to use the fresh one. I have had no issues at all with the fresh URL, where as the first URL had weird glitchs from the start. So to sum up this complicated explanation, I am now happy. Thankyou for all your help, and sorry for bothering you all. Sue x

@raggletagglebobtails regardless of what happened, it sounds like things are now resolved. Do you need any further assistance at this time?

    #1651727

    No it’s fine.
