Mystique tabbed widget: Change background colour

  1. Hi, Have just changed to the Mystique theme. Unfortunately, I am unable to find anywhere in the Appearance section of the dashboard on how to change the background colour from the darkish grey of this widget. It's such a distraction from the clean, clear design of the rest of the theme and, I think, spoils the overall look to have this clunky dark grey area in the sidebar. Is it possible to change that colour, please? I am a blog. Thanks!

  2. For a block of text enclosed in a colored background (like the example), you can use this code (in the html post or page editor, or in text widgets). Please see here. >

Also if you were to combine the two smaller images and place them one on top of the other in a single image then they will have a better appearance when aligned side by side with the taller image.

  3. Thank you, timethief, for your suggestions. However, as a freebie blog, I am unable to make any changes to such things. I really have no need to upgrade so that I can make changes to the CSS as I have no interest in doing those sorts of changes.

What I have done, in lieu, is to change the theme colour to Grey, which, when seen with the various elements in that colour-theme, is obviously the first colour choice for which the theme was produced. It kinda fits in now, and I am getting used to it. It seems that the various Grey elements as part of the theme was not changed when the other colour themes were made.

What I will do is make a feature request post in the Themes forum, which is where I think I should have placed this question to begin with.
