Mystique Theme: Sticky text is disappearing
My blog at Webcomic Overlook uses the Mystique theme. I also use Stickies. Recently, I’ve been noticing that the Titles associated with the sticky has been disappearing. For example, my recent post is entitled “WCO #231: MS Paint Adventures: Homestuck (Act 5).” (A long title, I know.) The title shows up in the sticky for a few seconds. However, if you wait a while, the title disappears, and it doesn’t return.
This happens on both the Chrome browser on my laptop and the Safari browser on my iPad.
It’s particularly frustrating since clicking on the post title as displayed on the sticky is the fastest way to get to the newest post. Trying to find the post any other way is a hassle.
The blog I need help with is webcomicoverlook.com.
I should also point out that clicking on the Sticky’s featured image will direct you to the post when I’m on Google Chrome on my laptop. However, clicking the image does nothing on the Safari browser in my iPad.
On Win7Pro/Chrome 29, I’m getting the same thing. The title of the sticky post disappears after a few seconds, although the post excerpt continues to appear on mouseover.
And then it behaves entirely correctly the next time I load the page! The title in the sticky post is just there.
I’ll tag this for staff assistance. Please subscribe to the topic so that you’ll see their reply.
Staff- I followed the suggestions given by kraftbj here https://en.forums.wordpress.com/topic/problem-with-older-posts-button?replies=14#post-1428460 but the problem still exists.
FWIW-the sticky post title was visible right up until the page finished loading, then it disappeared.
Here’s the error as it appears in the Chrome console:

Hi El Santo – I think this might be an issue with WordAds; for me, the title stays when I temporarily turn your ads off. I’m checking with our WordAds team, and I’ll be back in touch as soon as I have more information.
@eurello: You know, it might be! Last night, the sticky titles showed up, and I was going to chime in that the issue might be resolved! But… maybe it’s because certain WordAds had been interfering with the code? I don’t know. I’ll check in again if I have a problem, but it seems to be working for now.
Anyway, thank you for your help!
Hi El Santo – This should be fixed for you now. Our WordAds team made an adjustment. :)
