Need basic help changing color!

    Hey, so on my site, at the top right there is search bar and social media icons. The background colour to these are light blue and orange and this is default of the theme Splendio.
    I would like to change these colours, especially the orange! So if you could help me with a code for this so that I could change it to a different color (any as an example will do) I’d be really grateful!

    Thanks for your help.

    This is where you change the basic color. Add the following to your custom CSS and then edit the color code as desired.

    #header-auxiliary .header-search {
    background: #C3EAF8;

    The angle bracket at the left end of the search box is an image. You can create a new image the same size and in the color you wish, or you can simply do without the image altogether.

    To replace the image add this and then put the URL of the new image (that you uploaded to your media library) between the double quote marks where it says, URL OF IMAGE.

    #header-auxiliary .header-search input {
    background: url("URL OF IMAGE") no-repeat scroll left center #FFFFFF;

    To delete the image, add this and see what you think.

    #header-auxiliary .header-search input {
    background: #FFFFFF;
    margin-left: 5px;
    width: 205px;

    If you want the background of that area white for the overall search box area, then you can change the #FFFFFF above to perhaps #CCCCCC
