Need Help Creating a Menu

  1. Hi,
I'm using the Illustrar theme and would like to create a menu along the top (with drop downs) like there is on the theme example. The headings would be : Live Sound, Sound Design, Studio, Corporate, Freelance. I've read the info on how to create a menu. I created pages for each of these titles. Then went to appearance-menu-create new menu-menu name-theme location....but I don't seem to be able to add the pages to the menu???
    Please help,

The blog I need help with is

Setting up a menu is easy as pie, provided you know the differences between Posts and Pages, and the differences between static Pages, (which will never automatically update) and dynamic Categories pages which will automatically update when you publish Posts with Categories assigned to them.

    Read this carefully

There are many common errors, misunderstandings and misconceptions when creating custom menus and there are some tweaks you can use to improve your custom menu as well.

  4. You're welcome. If you want a step by step approach with lots of explanation then see here >

  5. I've studied this all. It seems straight forward. I've created Pages. However, when I go to create a Menu, there are no pages listed to select from and include in the menu. ? I'm stumped.

  6. What are the URLs of the pages you want to add?

  7. I did it! Thanks anyway:)

  8. Custom Menu
Illustratr allows you to have a custom menu in the theme’s header. It can be set up by going to Appearance → Menus. Don’t forget to tick “Primary Menu” in the Menu Settings; if the option isn’t ticked, Illustratr won’t display any menu in its header.
