Need help with a blog
Hi. I am a new user here at wordpress.com. I need help with a blog, blog.gcflearnfree.org. I am trying to email myself some articles on that blog and have tried using my wordpress.com username and regular email username and neither have worked. I got a strange message yesterday, 8/7/12, when logging in as my wordpress.com username (pat901). Here is the message: “You are logged in as “pat901” and do not have the necessary privileges to access the dashboard for “Learning and Living in the Online World”. If you are not “pat901”, please log out and log back in with your username. If you are “pat901″ and you need access, please ask an administrator of the site to invite you”. So, if anyone has anything they can share to help me out please let me know. Thank you.

Just to be sure, were you using the Email button at the bottom of a post, like http://blog.gcflearnfree.org/2012/07/26/ibooks-and-itunes-u-apps-for-reading-and-learning-digitally/ ?
Hi macmanx. Yes, I was using the email button, where it says “Email” on it, at the bottom of the article. I used the email address I used when setting up my account at wordpress.com. Also, interestingly enough, I emailed myself an article from this website yesterday, 8/8/12, using the exact same email address and it came through. So, I can’t really figure it out. Maybe their (gcf’s) server is so busy that it can’t accommodate certain requests? Or, maybe it has to do with my email account?? I haven’t gotten some emails before in the past, and maybe that is the problem now, don’t know. But, it’s very frustrating nonetheless. Thanks in advance for all your help. Specifically, which email address were you using?
If you post it here in the standard format, it will only be visible to myself and other staff members.
I used the same email address as the one I used for my wordpress.com account. You’ll have to explain what you mean by standard format because I am not sure what that means. Please reply so I can reply and try to get this resolved, hopefully.
Standard format as in exactly as you would type an email address. If I showed you an example, it would be hidden. ;)

OK, will check on that. Didn’t think cookies had anything to do with it, but what else could it be?? I even tried logging in using my wordpress.com account, with my regular email, and it didn’t work(emails didn’t come through). But, I get the new blog posts just fine. Weird, huh??
