New Blog, Not Like The Old Blog

  1. I already have a blog (with wordpress) but it's old and is no longer pertinent. The new blog I wish to create is totally different. I'm not even sure I want the two connected. So if I create a new one, is there a way it can be completely independent? I also want to see if I can get people to advertise on it. But I guess I need to do this one step at a time.

  2. This blog I'm creating is not what it says above ("the blog I need help with is") but I actually don't know how to change that either.

  3. Please post an active link starting with http:// to the exact blog in question so we can get started with helping you.

I also want to see if I can get people to advertise on it.

That's a no go on free hosted blogs.

There is no upgrade, aside from a VIP hosting upgrade that you can purchase that allows blogger initiated advertising on a free hosted blog. You will have to hire a web host and set up your own install to run your own advertising.

There is only one advertising program called WordAds at and it’s for blogs on their own domains. Aside from a blog being accepted into WordAds no blogger initiated advertising, retailing or reselling the work or products created or services provided by anyone other than yourself is allowed on free hosted blogs.

  4. I have much the same problem in I started a NEW blog on but when I come to this site, my old blog address is there. The old blog is done and now I want this new blog. How do I change the name of the blog on your site?

The site linked to your username is blank so I cannot guess what your old blog on was nor what your blogger site is.
Here are instructions for changing the site's URL:

You can delete the blog if you never (never, never, ever) want to use it ever again:

Another option is to simply set it to private:

If your old blog was indexed by search engines, cached versions of it will remain for some time.
