New Header Changed Width of Blog

I recently uploaded a new header and for some reason it has done two things to my blog that I cannot reverse. First, the header image does not span the full length of the header bar anymore, i.e. it’s too short even though I have adjusted its size to be the full 770 x 220 px as called for my the header theme. Second, the entire width of my photo column seems to have gotten narrower resulting in images that were once side by side now being on top of one another.

I have tried to adjust the width by editing my CSS settings, but cannot seem to figure out how to fix it. Any tips would be greatly appreciated! Thank you.

The blog I need help with is

By the way, my blog address is:

First off, you have custom CSS and have widened your theme to 1000px wide. That means your header image has to be that wide.

Secondly, once you edit the CSS and specifically the width of a theme, you can no longer use the custom header upload feature because it will always use the original dimensions.

You have to upload the image the correct size to your media library, get the URL of that image and then insert it into the proper place in the CSS which in the case of pressrow is in the background declaration in #pic.

Thank you so much for your help. I uploaded the header via the media library and it now fits the entire length.

I am still perplexed by the width of the photo column and why my photos will not longer sit side-by-side, but I will keep working on it.

Thanks again for your help! I really appreciate it.

Add this to your CSS to fix the issues with the images. Your entry (post area) is too narrow.

    .entry {

Once again, thank you! You saved me from hours of CSS tutorials that have gotten me nowhere. Thank you again – I truly appreciate your help!

    You are welcome.

Hope it’s ok to use this thread.

I have a similar problem without having done anything.

images that were once side by side now being on top of one another.

For example in this Post (first 2 images):

Seems to occur especially in blogs using the INove Theme, I noticed the change in other INove blogs as well.

    What has happened?

(I do not have CSS Upgrade, so I’m not able to fix this on my own)

iNove has a net post area width of 575px. The top two images in that post are 300px wide each (600 total). The width of the two images combined can not be over 575px and I would actually suggest using 280px or less for the image widths when you want them side by side.

And from now on please start a new thread when the subject is different so that things don’t get confused.
