New user not added to User List. Blog listed on her dashboard but link is broken

    I suspect someone with direct access to the database will have to look at the database to fix this.

    Is it still correct that paying for any upgrade will allow me to ask someone who does have the power to fix it?

    If it’s possible for me to fix it myself, how do I do it?

    The Problem:

    I am SESchoen, creator and owner of .

    The list of users for says there are 3 users, but only lists 2 names.

    The missing user is guelphneedlecraftwp . Her dashboard lists this blog, but the link to the blog’s dashboard says the page doesn’t exist or she doesn’t have permission.

    When she clicks on the link in the email inviting her to be an administrator, she is told “Sorry, the activation code doesn’t seem to exist. Please ask the blog owner to send another.”

    When I (seschoen) try to send her another invite, I’m told, “User already has a role on your site.”


    I created the blog as seschoen and put up content.

    Last week I tried to create the guelphneedlecraftwp account and make her administrator.

    In my first attempt, I invited her as follower. I immediately invited her again as administrator. It’s possible they overlapped.

    Guelphneedlecraft did not have a wordpress account when I sent the first invitation. I don’t remember when in the process I created one for her.

    I might have clicked on the invitation to guelphneedlecraftwp to administer the blog while logged in as seschoen. (I need to install a second browser for this type of thing.)

    The other person with access to the guelphneedlecraft account says she received the invite and clicked on it, but went no further because she didn’t have a password. We’re not sure if that was while I was trying to create the account or later. (Another lesson learned: Don’t rely on email to tell her not to touch letters from WordPress while I’m working with accounts.)
