Newby–page not visible
I’ve just spent two hours trying to figure out why, after I edited and confirmed my new blog and hit “publish”–nothing shows up! I’ve sent invitations to friends, even subscrited myself, and what was visible to me on my dashboard–isn’t there.
The blog I need help with is estherfromolmsted.wordpress.com.
Did you get any kind of error message?
Can you retrieve what you wrote from the Revisions module in the Post Editor? (If you don’t see this module in your Editor, you may have to enable it from the Screen Options tab in the upper right hand corner of your screen.)
And being new to WordPress.com, you may find this of interest http://learn.wordpress.com
May be you the installation of your site have some problem, if possble share the url of your site.
@ourscompany- since we don’t install anything here on WordPress.com, perhaps you are confusing self-hosted WordPress.ORG and hosted WordPress.COM
I received this mesage:
Your new WordPress.com blog has been successfully set up.
You can log in with the following information:
I did not receive an error message. I first saved everything as a draft, corrected typos, then proceded as I described.
JustJennifer, I am now trying your suggestions. I’ll let you all know. thank you for your responses.
Jennifer–Apparently I did not hit “Publish” last night, so thank you for that simple explanation. However, I posted five photos with individual captions. Only one has shown up, with all five captions! How can I edit this back to the way I had it originally?
So far the proofing and editing has been the hardest for me to figure out.
Jennifer–all the photos I uploaded and their captions are shown in the Media Library. But how to I publish them in my blog? And how do I view my own blog other than subscribing–which I have done just to see where I am!
“My god, she’s got it? I think she’s got it!” Circuitous, but perhaps working on it at 6 p.m. instead of midnight has something to do with it.
Thank you all–we can close this now.
