I wanted to add a newsletter, but then I read that plugins are not an option on wordpress.com. Is there anything we can use that would bring the same results?
email me at (email redacted) please.
You can set up an account with a newsletter service, and then add a link in your sidebar to your signup form using a text or image widget.
Just let me know if you need further help.
HI — Is it possible to use something like this?
No. Plugins cannot be used here.
What are the best newsletter services that work with wordpress.com?
You can use any third-party newsletter service you like, as long as they provide a standalone signup form that you can link to from your WordPress.com site, since we don’t allow embedded signup forms here.
Here’s a suggestion. Register another WordPress.com blog that’s strictly for publishing your newsletters in and set up a follow blog widget on it and a follow blog button.
You can then create a cusom menu on your main blog and add the newsletter blog URL into the menu as an item by creating a custom link to it.
You can set up newsletter email subscriptions by using this guide > http://en.support.wordpress.com/widgets/follow-blog-widget/
For a follow button to appear on the bottom right hand corner of your site for those who do not have WordPress.com accounts see here > http://en.blog.wordpress.com/2011/09/21/more-traffic-for-your-blog-with-the-follow-button/
