No activation email

    I invited a friend to become an author of a blog I set up and helped her to create an account, but received no email to activate and now cannot use her – one and only – email address to create another

    It has been over a day with no e-mail in spam or inbox; any suggestions?

    I’m requesting on her behalf as she isn’t too IT literate, any support would be appreciated :)

    The blog I need help with is boomerageing.wordpress.com.

    A typo may have been made in the email address.

    Unfortunately, email addresses cannot be changed on pending signups, so I have removed it from our system.

    You may now re-register with the correct email address.

    It’s very possible there was a typo; I filled it in this time and will show her how to change the password, the help is greatly appreciated :)

    Another activation email problem here!

    A friend has created an account yesterday (“rocko2013”) but has never received the email message with the activation code, so he cannot login (“Your account has not been activated. We sent you an email with a link to activate.”). He clicked on the “Resend activation email” button a few times, but to no avail, i.e no messages are being received.

    The email address he specified is definitely correct since he also tried the password recovery function and did receive the “Password Reset” email. He was able to change the password and did receive the “Password Changed” confirmaton email. But he still cannot login, even with the newly set password, because the account isn’t activated. :-(

    So it seems that something must be broken with the mechanism which sends out the activation emails.

    Hi all again,

    So this time around I set her up and triple checked the username/password etc and still no activation e-mail has been sent (checked junk); this was set up on Friday April 26th and nothing over the weekend/today

    There’s still no option to retrieve password/create a new account as her username/address is taken (by her!)

    Any ideas? Is this a known issue generally?

    Hi there, I am rocko2013 and I am an idiot — the activation emails did arrive, but my SPAM filter moved them into the Junk Mail folder. It only just occurred to me that I ought to look there, too.

    I am very sorry for the false alarm. :-(
    Good news is that it DID WORK. :-)

    We register a new account (crowdfundinginternet) but 3 hours later don’t receibed the activation email.
    We resend 2 times but… nothing.
    Waht can we do?

    i registered the free domain name thenewyorkyears and never got an email to activate and it is not in my spam, I may have misspelled ..
