Nuntris Theme - Text under slider

  1. Hi there, I launched my site and I have only one problem. Under the slider I want Text with a "WelcomeSpeech". Now there is an open place...
    Look here:

    And I got another question:

On my website I got a page called: Biography. On this website ( is also a page called "Biography". But when you hold your mouse on that, you see also "Deutsche Biographie"/"Enlgish Biography".

What is this called? I want this too for my site, but how to do that?

    Thank you,

The blog I need help with is

  2. Hi there, @paulnijs.

I've looked in to this theme and when you are using the News Template option, the area below the slider is given over to a section which should display the most popular categories on your site. There is no way to put in a commentary or note below the slider.

In regards to the other site which you mentioned, this person had their site translated into both English and German. You can do the same and create nested menus for each of your pages by following the instructions in this page:

  3. Thank you very much!

  4. Let's see if it worked...

  5. So,

The nested menus worked, thank you!

In the demo, there are boxes with text under the slider, so that is a bit weird, isn't it? Is there really no possible way :(?

  6. Hi there - I see that you managed to get some text below the slider images. Just let us know if you still need any assistance.

  7. Hello,

I think you misunderstood my question? I mean text below the slider, see here:

  8. Thanks for the screenshots, I did misunderstand. :-)

As Ash mentioned earlier, the Nuntius theme uses that space in a particular way:

The News Page template displays posts from featured categories in blocks, arranged in alphabetical order by category name. Featuring categories is as simple as choosing a primary featured category in Appearance → Theme Options. To feature additional categories, go to Posts → Categories and assign your primary category as the “Category parent” of each additional category you wish to feature.

Up to ten of your remaining posts that do not appear in the slider or in any featured category will appear in the “More Articles” block.

You can read more on the Nuntius theme info page.

If you just want to add a welcome message, perhaps you could use the Featured Widget area instead:

Just drag a Text widget over to it and enter the text you'd like folks to see.

If you need further help setting this up, just let us know!

  9. So if I understand it, I can put my categories below the slider?

Hmm, bit difficult for me to understand that... Please help :D?
    Thank you!

  10. Hi there, it looks like everything was almost set up correctly. :-) I just un-stickied your "First Post" and the featured categories are now displaying on your homepage:

Just let me know if you need further help!

  11. Ah, I just realized that un-stickying that post has altered the slider. I believe you'll need to make a separate, additional, post for your Featured category. I will reset the First Post to sticky now.

  12. I made a new post! :)

  13. Great! So if that's the post you'd like to appear in the box below the slider, I think you'll need to assign it to the Featured category, and un-sticky it. Let me know how it goes!

  14. Yes! It worked, thank you so much! :D

  15. One thing left: the title is now "More Articles". I made a categorie named "Welcome". If I put it in categorie Featured, then it's called Featured.... Welcome is better... :)

  16. I'm glad it worked!

One thing left: the title is now "More Articles". I made a categorie named "Welcome". If I put it in categorie Featured, then it's called Featured.... Welcome is better... :)

To achieve that, I set the primary featured category to your new Welcome category, under Appearance > Theme Options:

  17. And again: Thank you very much!

    Problem ~ Resolved

  18. Great, glad to hear it!
