It may have been replaced with the “Load More Posts” option that’s on the bottom of the page. Once click it will load more posts.

You can change the amount of posts to be shown by going to your dashboard and going to Settings > Reading if you want to show more.

thanks for responding. before this, both were visible, load more and older or newer posts. Load more is visible on the main page while older /newer only visible when navigating archive. I ve looked through other blogs that use Bueno, tthe older/newer button is visible.

After doing some extensive research (for us both) I can’t find how to add the “Older Posts” button back, which is really annoying. Hopefully one of the more experienced volunteers will be able to help.

Staff have been introducing “infinite scroll” to themes — a site wide change that will be applied to all themes that are suitable for the implementation. https://en.forums.wordpress.com/topic/to-infinity?replies=137

Disabling” the infinite scroll feature to get rid of the pop-up in the footer results in a “Load More Posts” tab, and you can’t disable that “Load More Posts” tab from appearing and have “previous post” and “next post” links, without the Custom Design upgrade. http://en.support.wordpress.com/custom-design/

thanks, timethief. I understand “”Load More Posts” cant be disabled, I kinda like that feature:) I also like older & newer post too as it makes archive easy to managed. I must have done something while “doodling” with CSS , will try to figure it out. thanks again

    See here:

By the way 1, you’ve got too many images on your main page, and the page takes too long to load: for a visitor with a slow connection, the browser may even time out before loading all the images, and then the visitor will see nice big empty rectangles instead of your images. You should decrease the number of posts per page (in Settings > Reading) and/or use the read-more tag to truncate the posts.

By the way 2, the images you’ve been uploading are huge: loading time apart, you’re wasting your storage space and you’re getting worse quality on the post (because images downsized by WP lose some color and sharpness). Ideally you should use an image editing application or an online tool to downsize copies of your images to the pixel width you want on the post, and upload and insert those copies.

By the way 3, your images are linking to attachment pages. Is that intentional or not? See here:
