Oxygen Theme – Image Slider – Why can't I get it to work?
I can’t get the image slider to work.
Here are my steps to replicate:
I have a page set up to be a showcase page. I then went Settings > Reading and set the static page to be that same page.
Here are my steps when trying to post:
1.) Add new post
2.) Edit post
3.) Add media, select file, select “use as featured image”, insert image in post, go to visibility and “stick this post to the front page”.
Thanks – Any help is appreciated!
The blog I need help with is thedesignfolder.com.
In Oxygen you can either have a Home page that displays your posts or a static front page ie. a Showcase template. http://en.support.wordpress.com/pages/front-page/#setting-up-a-static-front-page
Showcase page template
When you first activate Oxygen, you’ll see your posts in a traditional blog format but if you’d like to showcase your content in an online magazine-like fashion, then you can use the Showcase Page template. …
Sticky post thumbnails are 750 pixels wide in the featured slider
Regular post thumbnails are 450 pixels wide
I cannot get the slider to work. WordPress’s instructions are not terribly clear – I redid several pages, marking them as showcase and then adding menus, and I’m at a total loss. I even uploaded some photos again and made them feature photos in the hopes of getting the slider to work. Help please! My blog is at bettinachavanne.com. Thank you!
Hi, I too am struggling to get the slider to work. At the moment I’ve set the page that I had assigned to the showcase template as the static home page, but it isn’t showing up. Instead all I’m getting is my sticky posts sitting on top of the other recent posts and am not sure how to get what I want.
I’ve checked all the screen options and they are fine, how do I make the sticky posts show up in my showcase page?
