Page formatting gone all screwy
I’m very new to this. Our blog littleblackpig.wordpress.com has been going along nicely until yesterday when I made my 16th post and uploaded 3 pics. When I previewed the post, there was only one pic showing and the captions from all 3 had concatonated under this first pic. I assumed it was a memory issue at my end and went ahead and posted. Now, however it has posted but all previous posts have become full width, centrally aligned – looks terrible. The sidebar has been pushed down to the bottom. I’m so upset – I’m not very good at this kind of thing, and it has all been going so well. I’ve been through the settings to try to change it. Also I’ve changed the theme and changed it back.
Can anyone help?
The blog I need help with is littleblackpig.wordpress.com.
Please change the link on your username to your WordPress.com blog; that makes it easier for us to click and look at the blog.
If you’re talking about a specific post, please give us the direct link to it, starting with http. I don’t see three pictures in ANY of your posts.
Looking at the blog http://littleblackpig.wordpress.com it seems to me that the most recent post has an unclosed tag in it. The way to prevent this from happening is to go to your Dashboard->Settings ->Writing and make sure
WordPress should correct invalidly nested XHTML automatically
is selected. Then go back and edit that post, changing anything at all; a period to a comma, adding a space, whatever. Hit Update and that should fix it and prevent this from happening in the future.
Thankyou so much – I’m all sorted out. I have taken your advice, thankyou so much for your help
