I apologize in advance for being noobish, but I did some research through google trying to get a clear and simple explanation defining a page hit, view and visit. After reading the article I found I’m still slightly confused.
    Any insight is greatly appreciated.

The blog I need help with is

Member stats are based on PageViews. The following are not counted:

    * Visits from registered users of the blog when they are logged in.
    * Visits to uploaded documents and files
    * Visits from browsers that do not execute javascript or load images.
    * GoogleBot and other search engine spiders.

    See here >

We cannot use Google Analytics on blogs. We can use additional 3rd party stats programs provided they are non-javascript programs. Some are real time stats counters like getclicky and some are not.

I have reviewed the ones we can use and you will find links to post on my Popular Posts page under Visitor Tracking. In those posts you will also find definitions and descriptions of the following: Hits, Page Views, Unique Visitors.

Timethief, thank you. I’ll be sure to check your site. TT I have another question while I’m here if that’s ok. Can I change the email address for my blog to use my primary email addy? I already have a wordpress account with my primary, but never put up my blog under that email. Will I run it to problems if I change it? Will I lose anything in the way of stats and so forth?

TT, I succesfully changed my email address per the instruction contained in the link.
    You’re the best! thanks!
