Pasted link excerpt

  1. I'm trying to adjust the description of the link in any post on social media, mainly Facebook. Whenever I copy the URL to my site and paste it on Facebook or in an email, the excerpt always reads, 'This is just a short excerpt about your blog.' The title is wrong too. I had a blog post for all of my main content named 'Music & Videos', which I've since deleted. I used the blog post as the main page for awhile, but I'm now using a page and panel setup and I did away with the whole blog aspect of my site. I'm confused as to why the title of my site in these links is continually coming up as the deleted 'Music & Videos' blog post, and I've scoured every link on my site to try to change the excerpt about my blog (or site, as it were), and I can't seem to find any way of changing these things. I hope I described the problem clearly enough, but please let me know if I need to clarify anything. Thanks.

  2. Hi tbatoryblog,

    Facebook caches the previews of your site, and sometimes a preview becomes stuck in their cache. You can force Facebook to reset their cache by pasting the post's URL into their debugger, and clicking the Fetch new scrape information button:
