There is a very unique process for wordpress and paypal…
Here is a step by step link on the ‘how to’ for paypal
All the best.

Must admit, I remember using a picture I had found via google when I had paypal… then adding the link myself. Although, it may be more straight forward now as the info at the prior link looks streamlined.
-
I am afraid that Step 8 is not looking the same. I do not see an Email tab with the code?
-
It sometimes looks a little different (I’m in Australia) when I was using it, I remember it looked slightly different for me as well… but I just searched at my ‘paypal’ until I could ‘see’ this ’email link code’ (don’t think it had it’s own ‘tab’, but it was there….

Excerpt of 6 thru 8
If you have a Personal PayPal account, select the “Use my primary email address…” option shown under Merchant Account IDs.
(Only Premium and Business accounts have a merchant account ID.)
Merchant Account IDs
Click on Create Button.
You will see now see two sets of code:
Website tab – provides HTML code
Email tab – provides a plain url link -
This is what the step says, but I do not see “<a hred=” So, not sure what to do?
Paste your link code between the quotation marks where it says ‘YOUR-LINK-HERE’ in the code provided below:
<img src=”https://www.paypalobjects.com/en_US/i/btn/btn_buynow_LG.gif” alt=”Buy Now Button” />

Now go to Step 4 then follow steps one at a time… here’s an excerpt of Step 3>>
Paste your link code between the quotation marks where it says ‘YOUR-LINK-HERE’ in the code provided below:
<img src=”https://www.paypalobjects.com/en_US/i/btn/btn_buynow_LG.gif” alt=”Buy Now Button” />
If you’d like to use a different button image, you can find a few image options by scrolling down to ‘Button Images’ here, or you can create and upload your own image.

You just type it yourself for the part at the start then the rest of the link. (and you do put your actual link, not those words….)
So, at step 4 you’ll see how to put it in a posting or page.
Step 5 shows you how to put it in a widget. -
Yikes sorry,, that is not working here… but for the
“” put your link here ”’ goes before the rest (the arrows muck it up in this forum)

It’s funny, but I’m wondering if you should ‘give up’ and do what I did..? Copy the picture you want and give it the proper paypal link?
I did it because I wanted a funky picture, but it may be an easier way out, as long as you have the link.
-
I am so confused…. sorry. You are so patient (sigh). I will try to start over from the beginning. I just erased all of the HTML that I messed up with adding the link.
-
All I want is a button that will allow people to buy something – I don’t care what the picture of the button looks like. It appears that the link is the issue?
-
It’s ok, I’m tired and it’s been an ‘all nighter’ for me it’s 10 am now lol…
But yes, so get the link / purchase page link or whatever it’s called.
Get the paypal picture icon that you like and wherever you want to put it . Make sure you link the picture in editor to your paypal / purchase link.
