Hello, I am trying to find out if I should sign up for the paid versions of WordPress.com or if I should completely shift to wordpress.org? Can you tell me the differences between wordpress.org and the paid version of wordpress.com. Thank you!

The blog I need help with is progressiveawakening.wordpress.com.

    Hi there!

Sure — With WordPress.com you get free, simplicity, and support with your site. On WordPress.org, you typically manage your servers, and have to do lots of maintenance, and maintain your site all by yourself. On WordPress.com, you get everything managed, and all you do is post!

Pricing is very easy. The highest plan is the WordPress.com Business Plan, which cost $24.92/mo, and if billed yearly, $299+ applicable taxes and fees. The more you pay(upgrade)the more features you get.

I have some helpful links below that will explain to you more about what I talked about if you are still stuck:

    Business Plan

If you have any more questions, let me know.
    Cheers :)

    Hi there,

What do you want to do with your site? If you tell me what your needs are I’d be able to give you much more accurate advice on whether upgrading or migrating to a self-hosted installation is best.
