People with Flickr accounts.

  1. Have you lost any of your pictures? On my other blog I used Flickr sometimes. Now there are these huge empty Flickr tags where the picture should be. I had reached the 200 picture limit. So that's when I went to Photobucket. I hadn't logged into that Flickr album for a while because I didn't need to but I log into the email account for that album all the time. Did I have to have logged into the actual album all the time to keep it active? It shouldn't be and the images should stay there until I delete them. I wanted to ask on their forum but I can't log in because it shows the welcome back page saying create a new account or to merge an existing account:

  2. If you don't have a Flickr PRO account, you only see photos of the last 200 regardless if you are logged in or not. If you have a photos that is number 201 on your blog, it will not show either. That is why I upgraded to a PRO account right away for this reason. The photos are still there whenever you upgrade, so at least that is a good thing!

  3. If the images are in your most recent 200, you shouldn't have a problem. As Trent pointed out, anything older than the most recent 200 will be "archived" by Flickr until you pay for the PRO (which I also have).

The login issue is probably because you had a Flickr login that dates prior to the Yahoo merger. Now, you must use a Yahoo login to access Flickr. It's wanting you to merge the two logins. You don't have to be logged in for the images to display, but you do have to merge the logins if you want to actually log in.

  4. I reached the 200 limit and then stopped and went to Photobucket because I heard their limit is 1,000. But just now I clicked one of the empty tags and it says NosySnoop is no longer active:

I don't know what to do. I noticed this right when I logged into that blog on Sunday because of these huge empty Flickr tags on the sidebar. But before then it was all fine.

  5. How long has it been since you last logged into Flickr?!

  6. Several months. But I log into that account's email account all the time. It's an album and is suppose to still have all the pictures regardless if we don't log in, if that's the reason. What if someone can't physically get to a computer for months. They then lose all the pictures??

  7. I don't know. I was trying to find something in the Terms of Service about inactivity for free users, but I couldn't find anything. If you had any copyrighted images up there, it may have been reported. It's a photo-sharing site, so they are pretty strict about what can be there. They've slacked up a bit to allow screenshots and scans of artwork as long as they are indicated as such.

  8. Thank you for looking. But the album was set to private. I'll get another account there so I can ask them on their forum. Thanks!
