I'm an American that has lived in the Sendai, northeastern region of Japan for the past two and a half years. Sadly, many of the places that I loved and the place I called home are now gone. Beautiful beaches that I discovered and surfed, such as Yuriage, Shinko and Gamo have been completely decimated. Many of my friends, friends families, homes and businesses are gone forever.
The following are samples of my Japanese portfolio taken before the disaster and posted in honor of Iwate, Miyagi, and other regions of Japan that have been destroyed. However, just like the mythical bird Phoenix, Japan will rebuild and rise again. Drop me a line and let me know if you enjoy any of my photos. Stack Jones [email redacted].
The blog I need help with is photojournaljapan.wordpress.com.
