I have just noticed that the images on my blog posts aren’t always visible. They all used to be some time ago. My blog’s address is: https://ebietti.wordpress.com/
For example, the second and third images on this blog post cannot be viewed on chrome or safari: https://ebietti.wordpress.com/2017/02/02/of-dancing-sculpture-an-oxymoron/
I have not saved the exact images other than on the blog, what do I need to do to make them visible again? It is quite important to see those images for the blog to make sense.
    Thanks, Elettra.

The blog I need help with is ebietti.wordpress.com.

If you are linking to images hosted on servers that are not wordpress.COM servers wherever they are hosted cab make sure they do not display so you and your site visitors are not using their bandwidth.

Images and media you upload into your media library and embed into posts and pages are on wordpress.COM servers. They remain visible unless or until you delete them from your media library. Deleting them from your media library also removes them from every place you embedded them in the blog and leaves behind broken links.

Staff cannot restore images you delete from your Media Library. You have to upload them all again, and then fix every broken image link in every post/page it was embedded into previously.

If you upload lots of images you can exhaust that free space allocation quickly. Currently, the only way to get an extra space allocation after you upload the images again, is to purchase an upgrade bundle. https://en.support.wordpress.com/space-upgrade/

Additionally, if the missing images are ones hosted on servers somewhere else that you hot linked to, the owner of the site that has the images on its servers can prevent display so their bandwidth is not being used by you or their viewers.

I suggest that you upload the missing images into your WordPress.COM Media Library.

P.S. On that posts I see these tags.
Tags: After, Arms, ART, Before, bronze, Calder, Cast, clay, Courtauld, dance, Degas, dynamism, gallery, london, Modern art, movement, plaster, Rodin, sculpture, Space, Time, TS Eliot

It’s important that you read this support doc closely http://en.support.wordpress.com/topics/#missing-posts
The rule of thumb is to assign to your posts the least, not the most, combined number of only relevant categories and tags that accurately describe the individual post content. And, you never assign the same keyword or keyword phrase as both a category and a tag.

Also, note that posts do not display in the Reader forever. Posts only display in the WordPress.COM Reader for 60 days.

So you mean that if I uploaded them then deleted them from the image library they can become unavailable on the blog posts?

    Eg: https://ebietti.wordpress.com/2016/11/18/the-wonders-of-juliette-mahieux-bartolis-angles-and-colours/

Yes. However you did not upload those missing images into your Media Library. The URLs make it clear that you hotlinked to them and they are hosted elsewhere.

That is not the case: I uploaded them on the library, uploaded them on the blog post then deleted them from the library…

Then they are gone and Staff cannot restore them.

    Hi there,

Deleting images from the library will also remove them from any posts where you’ve added them, and deleting images from the library is permanent. We cannot restore them.

The only way to get those images back is to re-upload them to your site, and then edit affected posts to add the images back there as well.
