Pictures being resized

  • I am trying to print our blog into a book; however, the pictures are showing up small size in the book. The site I am trying to print through said in looking at our blog that all of the pictures are around 500 X 500 pixels and have to print small otherwise the image will look pixelated and bad. From what I understand in reading other bloggers responses, WordPress changes the size of the pictures regardless of whether I chose Full Size when creating the blog.

Is there any way to get all my pictures full size so I can print a decent looking book?

What service are you using for printing? Based just on what you’ve written so far about that service only seeing 500×500 pixel versions of the photos, it might be something they would need to fix on their end but it depends a little on how exactly they are pulling the images.

WordPress.com resizes the pictures on the fly so they fit into the space the theme provides—otherwise the full size images would look really weird and too big to really view properly on a web page.

I want to say that the printing service should be able to programmatically pull the image sizes they need, but I’d need more details about how their service works to tell for sure.
