Pilcrow theme not viewing correctly in Internet Explorer?

    Recently I was notified by a vendor for our upcoming event that our website was broken.

    What it looks like, from the screen shot I was sent by this vendor, is that the Pilcrow theme was not loading.

    All text and links were justified to the left, no tabs, no widgets, no Pilcrow. Where as in Firefox it is fine and Safari it is fine. The background is solid yellow.

    Now is Pilcrow not compatible with a specific version of Internet Explorer? I am waiting to find out what version of Internet Explorer they are using.

    The only other consistency of issue for this is that it is a state funded non-profit museum office. I know that Local state offices, and organizations have different security and viewing permissions for websites. I warned them that this might be an issue, however they have informed me that they have no problems with other wordpress blogs…..

    How are you connecting to the internet and to WordPress.com? The way you connect to the internet (mobile, satellite, DSL, dial-up) and to your blog, and how many proxy server jumps etc. it takes to connect can cause problems. There maybe be problems with your ISP and/or with the proxy servers.

    Are you using http:// or https:// see http://en.support.wordpress.com/https/

    Have you tried clearing your browser cache and cookies? http://en.support.wordpress.com/browser-issues/#clear-your-cache-and-cookies

    Is your browser version up to date? You can upgrade any browser version here.

    Do you have third party cookies enabled? Do you have another browser you can try?

    @creativeclouddesigns Let us know if you’re still experiencing issues after timethief’s advice. Everything is looking good in IE8 from my end.



    I have just viewed this blog again using IE8 both using compatibility mode and when not using compatibility mode, and I do not witness any issues with it either.

    I really think this is an inter-office permissions issue.

    I also checked in IE 8. I requested the individual who notified me of the “broken” issue to check what @timethief suggested.

    Since I am not in their office to check it myself, I suggested they to talk to their computer tech person in regards to the issue.

    I have not heard anything since. Thanks for the help and the feedback. Much appreciated! At this point there doesn’t seem to be anything that can be done besides at their company.
