Pinterest widget?

  1. I have the pinterest turned on on my blog but I'm wondering if the widget for Pinterest that would allow their logo to pop up when anyone scrolls over any picture on the page is available? I can seem to figure out how to get it installed. Thanks for your help!

The blog I need help with is

  2. What is the code for it? It's probably banned here for security reasons, because that sounds like a javascript feature which is not secure.

  3. It is javascript. Sorry, I didn't realise it was blocked. I went to the Pinterest for business website and this is the coding it gave me:

    <script type="text/javascript" data-pin-hover="true" src="//"></script>

"No HTML is required for hoverbuttons; all you have to do is load the JavaScript listed below. Once you have this installed, images should show a Pin It button when hovered over. (If you're already running pinit.js, just add the data-pin-hover="true" attribute to the existing SCRIPT tag.)"

Thanks for your help raincoaster :)

  4. The pin it button is JavaScript. We cannot use JavaScript pin-it widgets nor can we install any plugins on free hosted blogs, so do be clear on that please.

You can capture an image of a Pinterest icon and upload it, link to it and display it in a text widget. I have done this here in the text widget at the top of my sidebar for those who want to follow me on Pinterest and here on my About page

For creating links in a text widget see:

You can upload image files by clicking the Add Media button right above the editing area of a page or a post.

You can also upload new files to your Media Library using Media → Add New.

    For troubleshooting see

You enable sharing buttons including a Pinterest one to display at the bottom of your posts.
