Pinterest/Organizing My Site
I need help learning how to make the “pin it” button appear on my photos for Pinterest. How do I go about doing that? I could only figure out how to do it using one of the plug ins on WordPress.org, which isn’t compatible with my site, I believe.
Also, if I want my site to be organized with pages like one being “fashion” and another being “beauty” how can I get my blog posts to be categorized and listed under the appropriate page automatically? While also appearing on the home page chronologically? Kind of like how http://www.profreshstyle.com has labelled pages (just as an example). Is that possible to be set up?
Thank you so much!!!
The blog I need help with is shegotitfromhermama.com.
re: “pin it” button
But you can put the code for the Pinterest follow button in a text widget.
1. Go to this site, choose which one of the red Follow Me images you want, and copy the code for it. http://pinterest.com/about/goodies/
2. Then, go to your widgets > Appearance > Widgets and select a text widget.http://en.support.wordpress.com/widgets/text-widget/
3. Paste the Pinterest follow button code into the text widget, “save” the widget, “close” the widget and place it where you want it to display in your sidebar.
4. Please see here for enabling sharing buttons including Pinterest on your blog. http://en.support.wordpress.com/sharing/

Note: The example blog you linked to is NOT a free hosted WordPress. com blog. Your blog is a free hosted WordPress.com blog. the two are different and what can be done on one cannot be done on the other ie. the “pin it” button can only be used on WordPress>ORG installs.
