Piracy
-
WordPress is being used for piracy. A blog on WordPress is scanning books and making PDF versions of them available for free, including my new book of poems. I demand that WordPress make these people cease and desist or I will take legal action. Look at this site, which is making my recently published book of poems available for free: http://dawdlowssubsa1989anerelro.wordpress.com/tag/skandalon-by-t-r-hummer/

Hi,
Please be patient because it takes some time to process this.
Please also see the bottom of this form (scroll down to the very bottom below the submit button) for an alternative way of filing your complaint.

45 minutes ago. In the morning, I will call my publisher. They will set their lawyer to work on it.

You’ll need to wait a day or two for a response. 45 minutes, in the evening (Eastern Time Zone U.S.A.) is a very short time to expect a response of any sort!

This “blog” is egregious. I am surprised that no one at WordPress has noticed it and stopped it already.

Criminal activity like this cannot be allowed to stand. I am attacking it via every avenue, as I would a plague of rats.

Sites that violate the Terms of Service are certainly dealt with. Any WordPress.com user can report a blog.
With the number of WordPress.com sites, it’s simply impossible for staff to find them all unless they are brought to their attention.
You have begun the process of reporting a blog, and I’d urge you to have a nice evening and let the process proceed. It’s not difficult, and it does indeed function well, especially if the site is question is hosted here on WordPress.com.
