Placing a line across the width Showcase template in 2011 theme

    I have a need to add an orange line below, and possibly above a string of text at the top of my home page. Currently I have a jpg file inserted to represent the line and it looks messy. Is there a way to do this? I have the custom design upgrade.

    The blog I need help with is mybestretirementplan.wordpress.com.

    Are you referring to the blog wearing the Blix theme linked to your username or not? Note that all CSS editing here is themes specific and those who help require a link to the blog in question.

    It appears like you have used some HTML in the content of the page itself, is that correct? If so, you can do something like this in the opening h2 tag in the content.

    <h2 style="text-align:left; border-top: 3px solid #ff8640; border-bottom: 3px solid #FF8640;">

    The above gives you top and bottom lines in the same orange color (I think) you are using.

    YES…I’ve used some basic html in some places.

    Thank you so much for the tip and I will give this a try!
