I don’t know computer lingo. I want to take a picture from my computer and post it. How do I do this if the picture is too big? What should I be saving my pictures into or what size so that I can load it and not mess with it! It is pulling up so big on the post, then I take the corner of the pic and arrow it in thinking it will shrink the whole pic. But it just shrinks the height or length not the whole pic at once. I don’t know what I am doing!!!

optimizing, pre-sizing and resizing images

All themes have a maximum size for the blogging space. If you place a larger image in it then it than the maximum allowed size then it will break the lay-out of the theme http://faq.wordpress.com/2006/09/25/how-big-can-my-images-be/

In order to reduce an image size proportionally once it has been up loaded you must click on the images and then drag on a diagonal corner to reduce the size.
