Please help me?!

  1. My website got expired and now wordpress asked me for domain mapping for $13 and whenever I go to my website, it's not showing up!!
Whenever I checked my upgrade, it says there
"Please contact support to renew this product"
It's really frustrating now. I've paid for it and it's not working.
    Please help me!!

The blog I need help with is

  2. Have you registered The domain name does not seem to be registered - try registering it again from the start (not renew)

I have also flagged this for staff attention

  3. I have registered it, yes.
    Does that expire?
I also tried registering it again, it says the domain is already registered.
    That's why I'm confused.

  4. Yes domain names expire - I used another database and it looks like you domain name is in Redemption - you will need staff help to renew it - this is flagged for staff help and it also looks like you have several thread with the same question - that just confuses things

  5. Oh, sorry for those previous threads. I wasn't getting any response, that's why I post another thread. I will delete them now.
Hope I can fix my site.
    Thank you.

  6. The domain expired on 2012-10-22 and is currently in redemption. This means that the domain is deactivated, but has not yet been fully released. During this time, you can still renew this domain, but the process is more complicated than a regular renewal. You have renewed a Domain Mapping upgrade, but as you are not in the control of the domain, I canceled and refunded your $13 purchase.

If you'd like to renew your ownership of this domain, you have several options:

    1) We can renew the domain for you through our registrar. This costs $106, which includes $26 for the domain and an additional cost of $80 for a late renewal. We have no control over this additional cost, as it is levied on us by our domain registrar.

    2) Try to register the domain through a domain back-ordering service, such as Pool (Registering starts at $60 with Pool)

    3) Wait until the domain is out of redemption and becomes available for registration again. Then, you can register it again for the regular price of $26. This would run the risk of the domain being registered by someone else before you, or the domain not being released for registration at all. The exact redemption period and the release of the domain are at the discretion of our domain registrar and we can't control it.

If you want to have the best chance of getting your domain back, your best bet would be the first option. If you choose this option, please reply to this email letting us know. We will then send you a direct request for payment and will contact our registrar on your behalf, asking to restore the domain.

Please note that time is of the essence here. Because your domain is very close to being cancelled, it may no longer be possible to recover it. If you pay for renewal and we are unable to recover the domain, you will be fully refunded.

  7. Thank you.
I've checked my credit card, and the $13 refund isn't posted yet.
How long is the refund process?
And, I would like to use my website name.
Will I be informed when the redemption period is done?
I would like to re-register it for $26.
    Thank you.

This thread is tagged for Staff assistance. Please subscribe to it so you are notified when they respond. Also be aware that as it's the holiday season you will have to be patient while waiting.

  9. How long is the refund process?

Your refund will post within 1-2 weeks.

Will I be informed when the redemption period is done?

No, I'm afraid there will be no notification. I would also like to reiterate that waiting for the domain to be released would run the risk of the domain being registered by someone else before you, or the domain not being released for registration at all. The exact redemption period and the release of the domain are at the discretion of our domain registrar and we can't control it.

  10. One of the locations where you can check whether the domain is available for registration again:

Once the domain has been released, you'll see that its status will appear as "not registered".

  11. PS - I got my domain name when the original owner let the domain name registration lapse and I got it when it came out of redemption - there is also an industry that buys expired domain names and holds them for hostage

  12. Hello there, so I just checked the website and ribbon tail games is available again, how can I get it now?

  13. Buy it from your dashboard just like you did originally, using the Custom Domain upgrade

  14. So, Store then buy... thanks!!
    Hope it works this time...

  15. Ok so I bought it, but it says DNS needs updating?
Can you check it for me please?

  16. The website still not working.
And I even bought the $99 with everything in it.
    It should work right?

  17. This is what it says...

Your nameservers need to be set to NS1.WORDPRESS.COM and NS2.WORDPRESS.COM for these DNS records to work. If you have already updated the nameservers you can ignore this message; it will stop appearing soon.

  18. You need to configure it. If you bought it from, you should be able to go to your Domains page and set it as Primary there. Then you must wait till the DNS has propagated, which can take up to 72 hours.

  19. @ribbontail: sorry, looks like the domain registration did not go through. Could you please try to register the domain again under Store > Domains? You won't be charged again since a free domain credit is included in your Pro Bundle.

  20. I just did and this is what it says...

Sorry there was a problem registering your domain please Contact Support and give them this message:

DBP validation failed for account 47298734

  21. When I checked the WHOIS
site, it says is not registered.
    I really appreciate the help.
Thank you so much in advance.

  22. It's still not working.
If you go to my website
Your browser will say "Could not find website"
I tried to register the domain again under Store.
    And an error occurred.

  23. If there is no way to fix my website, I would like to get my $99 back.
    Thank you.

  24. @ribbontail: sorry about this, I am looking into it for you so that we can get the domain up and running. Thanks for your patience!

  25. And all set, your domain is working fine from where I am on the internet :) (Note that it can take a couple of hours until it shows up for you). It was included in the $99 Pro Bundle, so no additional charge to you.

  26. Hi Jenia,
