Fairly new to WordPress and tried (unsuccessfully) today to add a plug-in to my blog. There was a reference in the instructions to /wp-content/plugins/ directory. Where do I find this?
The blog I need help with is sowingseedsofgrace.wordpress.com.
Whatever you are reading does not apply to free hosted WordPress.com blogs like the one linked to your username. The support documentation for free hosted WordPress.com blogs is here http://en.support.wordpress.com
There is no FTP access to free hosted WordPress.COM blogs and we cannot install plugins, upload third-party themes or edit templates or themes. Those found on the internet are for WordPress.ORG installs which run on different software.
There is no upgrade you can purchase from WordPress.com that changes anything stated here http://support.wordpress.com/com-vs-org/ and restated again here > http://en.support.wordpress.com/domain-mapping/#important-notes-before-upgrading and restated again here > http://en.support.wordpress.com/custom-design/#frequently-asked-questions

Appreciate your time and input. I had read much of this but wanted to be sure I was understanding as it applied to my choice of a free hosted WordPress.com blog. Again, thanks much!
Hello. I have an upgraded blog with 2010 theme. I want to add a widget to allow people to opt out of a my email list. I have the widget but do not seem to be able to add it to the theme. Am I missing something?
