Plugins
-
Hello, I am using a wordpress hosted site, that I pay wordpress to host, annually, because I enjoy the security (Many have tried to hack my site, and failed, due to it being hosted by wordpress)
I have a question about plugins on a wordpress hosted site.
How to I install and use a plugin, let’s say, the hearths.at plugin, on a wordpress hosted site?
Does anyone know?

I have a question about plugins on a wordpress hosted site.
We do not provide support for WordPress.ORG installs here.
Blogger installed plugin capability does not exist on WordPress.COM blogs and there is no upgrade you can purchase here that changes that reality.
http://en.support.wordpress.com/ftp-access/
http://en.support.wordpress.com/plugins/For that type of functionality you’d need a self-hosted WordPress.ORG software install running on a paid web hosting service.
WordPress.COM and WordPress.ORG are completely separate and have different username accounts, logins (passwords), features, run different versions of some themes with the same names, and have separate support documentation and separate support forums. Read the differences here http://en.support.wordpress.com/com-vs-org/
You can hire a web host http://wordpress.org/hosting and move your content into a WordPress.ORG install https://en.support.wordpress.com/moving-to-a-self-hosted-wordpress-site/
If you don’t have a username account at WordPress.ORG click http://wordpress.org/support/ and register one on the top right hand corner of the page that opens, so you can post to the support forums there.

this may be a stupid question but if I upgrade my website from .com to org package can I still have my website to appear as the emanbeauty.com (URL)for my website because I don’t want to be to be emanbeauty.org

I’ve already spoken to word press tech support about they know I am WORDPRESS HOSTED site.
Please stop trolling me. I have not patience for this. It is not my fault you could not ascertain from our OTHER encounter that I am a WORDPRESS HOSTED URL.As for the answer to the question, it seems there is not API for what I was looking for, which is what is required, therefore this topic is closed.

@neonplasticlotus
Please read the sticky post at the head of the support forums very carefully and know I will tolerate absolutely no abuse from anyone posting here https://en.forums.wordpress.com/topic/wordpresscom-forums-community-standards?replies=1I have a question about plugins on a wordpress hosted site.
Your username is not linked to a site hosted by wordpress.COM. The only sites we provide support for on this forum are sites hosted by wordpress.COM. You have failed to provide a URL so I can verify where your site is hosted and provide an accurate answer. You stated this:
I provided this link http://en.support.wordpress.com/plugins/ as well as the correct response above which is:
Blogger installed plugin capability does not exist on WordPress.COM blogs and there is no upgrade you can purchase here that changes that reality.
http://en.support.wordpress.com/ftp-access/I have read your other encounter threads https://en.forums.wordpress.com/profile/neonplasticlotus and in on those threads have you have provided the URL for the site you refer to.

You stated this:

And the URL of that site is?

Hi folks.
@neonplasticlotus, you’ve been talking to forum volunteers who can’t see your site, which makes it very hard for them to help you. Thanks for your patience.
@timethief, this person is a user here. I can actually see the site in the account, so no worries re: the missing URL.
We don’t support hearthis.at right now, and third party plugins can’t be added (we have to vet everything carefully).
You’d be welcome to use one of the supported audio playlists:
https://en.support.wordpress.com/audio/Or, you could use WordPress.org to run your own site elsewhere and install whatever plugins you’d like. It just takes a little more technical know-how. If you’re interested in that, here’s how to get started: https://en.support.wordpress.com/moving-to-a-self-hosted-wordpress-site/
I’m going to go ahead and close this thread since it’s escalated a bit, but @neonplasticlotus I’d encourage you to get in touch with us here if you need more help:
