Plugins for Premium package

    Hi
I'd like to upgrade my account to premium, but wondered if the included plug-ins allowed for ecommerce. The FAQs were confusing.

    Thanks
    Lisa

The blog I need help with is pursuingkairos.wordpress.com.

  2. Hi there,

The Premium Plan includes the Simple Payment Button feature which allows you to sell single products using a PayPal button.

    Simple Payments

But if you're looking for a complete online store using a plugin like WooCommerce, you'll need the Business Plan instead. The Premium Plan only includes the features listed at My Site ->Plans, and does not allow installation of additional plugins.

Thanks for your response. I'm new to this -- does that mean with the Premium plan I couldn't sell something in varying sizes? When you say Single products, what do you mean by that?

    Thanks!
    Lisa

  4. You can find a complete description at the link I gave above, but shortly, you can create a product linked to a PayPal button and set a price. Someone clicks the button to submit payment.

The actual ordering of the product will have to happen via a contact form - the button is absolutely just to give you a simple way to take payments via your site - so you can very well have a size option there that buyers can select when submitting the form. If you have low-volume sales and do everything manually, that should be enough.

If you want something more integrated, where someone can add multiple products to their shopping cart, capture shipping info and pay, all in one go, you'll need a full ecommerce plugin instead, and that will require the Business Plan.
