I want to list all my posts individually on the sidebar or drop down top bar to display a full list of numbered headings.
    Blog url: http://brettthevet.wordpress.com/

The blog I need help with is brettthevet.wordpress.com.

There is no sidebar on the Manifest theme and we can’t edit templates or theme add sidebars to themes that don’t have them.

What you can do is create a custom menu and add a page to it that has the archives shortcode on it.

Thanks does that mean I must choose another theme first?

I’ve tried creating a menu and then adding a page neither of which appear on the blog even after saving. I can’t work out how to add archives shortcode. Perhaps I am doing it in the wrong order.

I envisage a drop down bar with my entire list of posts. I’ve looked at some of the other themes that list a few recent posts, but I would like people to be able to scan all my post headings.

Sorry if I seem stupid about this.

Please stop to consider that as you write more and more on your site, that drop down menu will become unwieldy and people will have to be scrolling down to get to your earliest posts.

Instead, create a Page called Archives and add the archives shortcode to it and then publish the page. http://en.support.wordpress.com/archives-shortcode/

If you don’t see the page in the menu bar, have a look under Appearance>Menu to add it to the Custom Menu. Remember to save it.

If you still wish to add all your posts to a drop down menu, you can do it via the Custom menu.
